1. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

DRIVE Golf Academy ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our members, clients, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in compliance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable Canadian federal privacy legislation.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only the personal information necessary to fulfill our business operations, provide instruction, manage facility bookings, process payments, and enforce facility rules. This includes:

  • Contact & Identity Information: Your full name, email address, phone number, physical address, and emergency contact details.

  • Billing & Financial Data: Credit card details, billing address, and transaction histories. Note: Full payment card numbers are processed directly through our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway (Stripe) and are never stored on our local servers.

  • Booking & Membership Data: Simulator reservations, lesson history, tier allocations, and keycode access logs collected via our booking management ecosystem (ProAgenda).

  • Performance & Instructional Media: Dynamic swing tracking metrics, launch monitor data (ProTee VX), and audio-visual recordings captured during lessons or practice sessions (via studio cameras or handheld instructional devices).

  • Security & Facility Surveillance: Audio and video footage captured via continuous 24/7 security surveillance cameras inside our private studio environment.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We collect and use personal information strictly for reasonable business purposes, including:

  1. Setting up and managing your client profile and membership account inside ProAgenda.

  2. Processing recurring monthly installments, upfront annual fees, or lesson packages via Stripe.

  3. Scheduling simulator reservations, academy coaching sessions, and controlling private facility entry.

  4. Analyzing golf swing mechanics and delivering instructional performance reports.

  5. Maintaining facility safety, verifying 24-member club integrity, and protecting hardware against unauthorized access or property damage.

  6. Communicating facility updates, booking confirmations, or schedule changes.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS & DATA STORAGE

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. To operate our digital booking and payment systems, we transfer data to trusted third-party service providers who employ industry-standard encryption and security controls:

  • ProAgenda: Acts as our primary scheduling, database, and client management software. ProAgenda stores client contact records, booking schedules, and membership statuses.

  • Stripe, Inc.: Acts as our merchant payment processor. Stripe collects financial information, executes recurring pre-authorized transactions, and processes billing details. Stripe complies with global PCI-DSS Level 1 security standards.

  • Instructional & Security Infrastructure: Performance tracking systems (ProTee VX) and facility surveillance setups store operational and security logs strictly for academy safety and instructional delivery.

5. CONSENT

By registering for a membership, booking a session via ProAgenda, executing our Master Agreement, or submitting payment information via Stripe, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this policy.

You may withdraw your consent for specific non-essential uses (such as promotional media highlights) at any time by providing reasonable written notice to admin@drivegolfacademy.com. However, withdrawing consent for essential operational data (such as billing or keycode identification) will result in the termination of active membership access, subject to the terms of your binding 12-month contract.

6. SAFEGUARDING & DATA RETENTION

We maintain strict administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, theft, modification, or disclosure. Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the operational purposes for which it was collected or to satisfy legal, accounting, and tax requirements. Once no longer required, data is securely destroyed or anonymized.

7. YOUR RIGHTS & ACCESS TO INFORMATION

Under BC PIPA, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or inquire about how your data has been utilized.
